About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how OptionsDepth FZ-LLC ("OptionsDepth", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with your access to and use of the OptionsDepth website and platform (the "Services").

OptionsDepth FZ-LLC is a Free Zone Limited Liability Company incorporated in the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), United Arab Emirates, holding RAKEZ Licence No. 45030057, with its registered office at VUNE0697, Compass Building, Al Hulaila Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. For the purposes of UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the "UAE PDPL"), OptionsDepth FZ-LLC is the controller of personal information processed in connection with the Services.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by OptionsDepth as part of the Services. It does not apply to information processed by third-party websites or services that you may access via links from the Services; those websites and services have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand how we process your personal information.

Information We Collected

We collect personal information in the following ways:
  • Information you provide directly. When you register for an account, subscribe to a plan, contact our supportteam, or otherwise interact with the Services, you provide us with information such as your name, emailaddress, password (stored in hashed form), country and time zone, billing details, and the content of anycommunications you send to us
  • Information collected automatically. When you use the Services, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including your IP address, browser type and version, device identifiers, operating system, referring and exit pages, pages and features accessed, session duration, timestamps, and similar information about how you interact with the Services. If you use our application programming interfaces ("APIs"), we also log API request metadata, including endpoints accessed, request volumes, response codes, and the API credentials used.
  • Information from cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, analyse usage, and (with your consent where required) measure the performance of marketing communications. Further details are set out in Section 8 (Cookies and Tracking Technologies) below.
  • Information from third parties. We may receive information from third-party service providers that help us operate the Services, including from payment processors (which provide us with confirmation of payment and limited card metadata, such as the last four digits and expiry, but not full card numbers), and from advertising and analytics providers that report aggregate engagement metrics.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information for the following purposes, on the legal bases set out alongside each purpose under the UAE PDPL:
  • To provide and operate the Services — including creating and managing your account, processing your subscription, providing access to dashboards and APIs, and supporting features. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you.
  • To process payments — including verifying your payment method, processing subscription fees, and applying VAT where required. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you and compliance with legal obligations.
  • To provide customer support — including responding to your questions, troubleshooting issues, and improving our support processes. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you and our legitimate interests in providing quality service.
  • To secure and improve the Services — including detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, unauthorised access, scraping, redistribution, and breaches of our Terms; monitoring API usage for abuse and rate-limit compliance; and improving the performance, reliability, and features of the Services. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in protecting and improving the Services, and compliance with legal obligations.
  • To send you communications about the Services — including transactional emails (account confirmations, billing notices, security alerts, service announcements) and, where you have not opted out, occasional marketing emails about new features, releases, and product updates. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you (transactional) and your consent (marketing).
  • To comply with legal obligations — including obligations under UAE law, applicable tax laws, sanctions and anti-money-laundering laws, and lawful requests from competent authorities. Legal basis: compliance with legal obligations.
  • To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims — including investigating and pursuing breaches of our Terms or Privacy Policy. Legal basis: our legitimate interests and, where applicable, the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
Service providers. We share personal information with third-party service providers that help us operate the Services. These include payment processors (to process subscription payments), email service providers (to deliver transactional and marketing emails), analytics providers (to understand product usage and improve the Services), advertising platforms (to measure the performance of marketing campaigns), and cloud infrastructure and hosting providers (to operate the Services). We work with established service providers that are subject to their own privacy obligations and that provide standard security measures, and we select providers that, to the best of our knowledge, process personal information consistent with applicable data protection laws. A current list of our material service providers is available on request to admins@optionsdepth.com.
Legal and regulatory disclosure. We may disclose personal information where required to comply with applicable law, court orders, or lawful requests from competent authorities (including UAE regulators), and where necessary to enforce our Terms or to protect the rights, property, or safety of OptionsDepth, our users, or others.
Business transfers. If OptionsDepth is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred to the relevant counterparty as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such transfer that materially affects how your personal information is processed.
With your consent or at your direction. We may share personal information with other parties when you direct us to do so or have given consent.

International Data Transfers

OptionsDepth is incorporated in the United Arab Emirates, and your personal information will be transferred to, and processed in, jurisdictions outside the UAE. In particular, our hosting infrastructure and certain service providers are located in the United States, and your personal information will be transferred to, and stored and processed in, the United States.
Where we transfer personal information outside the UAE, we do so in accordance with the requirements of the UAE PDPL, including by implementing appropriate safeguards such as contractual commitments with the recipient to protect personal information to a standard equivalent to that required by the UAE PDPL. By using the Services, you acknowledge that your personal information will be transferred internationally as described in this Privacy Policy.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, taking into account legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, and operational requirements.
In general:
  • Account information is retained for the duration of your subscription and for a reasonable period thereafter to allow for account reactivation, dispute resolution, and the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims (typically up to 5 years after account closure).
  • Billing and transaction records are retained for a minimum period required by applicable tax and accounting laws (typically 5 years).
  • Technical logs (including API request logs) are typically retained in identifiable form for up to 12 months for security, abuse-detection, and operational purposes. After this period, we either delete the logs or aggregate them into non-identifiable form (which may be retained for longer for analytical purposes). We may retain specific identifiable logs for longer where necessary to investigate suspected breaches of our Terms, to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, or to comply with legal obligations.
  • Marketing records (including unsubscribe history) are retained as long as necessary to honour your communication preferences.
  • Customer support communications are retained for up to 3 years to support service quality and dispute resolution.

Your Rights Under the UAE PDPL

Subject to applicable conditions and exceptions under the UAE PDPL, you have the following rights in respect of your personal information:
  • Right of access — to obtain confirmation of whether we process personal information about you and, where we do, to receive a copy of that information.
  • Right to rectification — to have inaccurate or incomplete personal information corrected.
  • Right to erasure — to request deletion of your personal information in certain circumstances, including where it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
  • Right to restrict processing — to request that we limit the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Right to data portability — to receive a copy of personal information you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and, where technically feasible, to have it transmitted to another controller.
  • Right to object — to object to the processing of your personal information where we rely on legitimate interests as the legal basis.
  • Right to withdraw consent — where we process personal information on the basis of your consent (including for marketing emails), you may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

If you believe we have not addressed your concerns adequately, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office or other competent supervisory authority.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services and to understand how they are used. The cookies we use generally fall into the following categories:
  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the operation of the Services, including authentication, session management, and security. These cannot be disabled without impairing your ability to use the Services.
  • Performance and analytics cookies — help us understand how users interact with the Services so we can measure performance and improve features.
  • Marketing and advertising cookies — used to measure the performance of our marketing campaigns and, where applicable, to deliver relevant advertising on third-party platforms.
Most web browsers allow you to manage cookie preferences through browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies (in particular strictly necessary cookies) may affect the functionality of the Services. Marketing Communications

We may send you occasional marketing emails about new features, product releases, and updates to the Services. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by:
  • Toggling the marketing-email setting in your account preferences.
  • Clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email.

Opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional emails (such as billing notices, security alerts, or service announcements), which we will continue to send as part of the Services.

Data Security

We implement technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, accidental loss, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption of data in transit (TLS), encryption-at-rest provided by our hosting infrastructure, access controls, periodic security reviews, and operational practices designed to limit access to personal information to authorised personnel.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is fully secure. While we strive to protect personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a personal data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the competent authority where required by the UAE PDPL.

Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to, and not intended for use by, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18 without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content that we do not operate or control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service before providing personal information to them.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Services, applicable law, or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and/or by posting a prominent notice on the Services prior to the changes taking effect. The "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was last revised.
